- To be proactive and contirbute actively in her roles
- To be inquisite and take initiative for her own learning
- To engage in independant learning and higher-order thinking
- To be passionate about learning
- To initiate about learning
- To live a purposeful life
There are many forms of enthusiasm. You can be enthusiasm in your own learning, in your cca, as a student leader, or just as a student. I believe that a enthusiasm student will boost both hers and the people's around her morale while studying. A enthusiasm student is passionate about everything and optimistic too. This way, even when things go wrong, she will not give up and also keep trying. I think everyone ought to have these type of attitude in life as living life with a purpose and passion is what's life all about, isn't it?

COMMITMENT
Commitment: To be faithful, responsible and dedicated in performing one's roles
- To be loyal to nation and school
Eg: Sing the national anthem with pride
- To take responsibility for her learning
Eg: Do homework well
- To be punctual in attendence and prompt in meeting deadlines
- To be loyal to nation and school
Eg: Represent nation and school well
- To take responsibility for independant learning
Eg: Reading beyond the text in search of new knowledge
- To be punctual in attendence and prompt in meeting deadlines and to see all tasks in their completion
I think singing the national anthem is a very important task to do every morning. So is taking the pledge or singing the school song too. However, when we take it, we must keep in mind of the meaning behind the words too. In the words are the hardwork of the previous batches and our forefathers of Singapore. As a student, i think studying should be your main job and task. Completing homework punctually and aquiring new knowledge should not be a must but a want for every student. If it is forced, the outcome will also be cut down by a great deal too. Thus, learning should be individual, without force.

ALL-ROUND-EXCELLENCE
All-round-excellence: To pursue excellence in everything we do; to be resilient and innovative
- To explore and discover new knowledge and develop new skills
- To set ambitious but attainable goals and persevere towards achieving them
- To be eager to experiment with new ideas and new ways of doing things
- To strive to surpass her personal best
- To respond positively to challenges with will power and courage
I suppose in many schools, they just focus on acadamic results and nothing else. However i feel that character and your other aspects is also very important as they shapes your personality and habits. Should a A class student have lousy and horrible character, no matter how good her studies is, it'll be of no use as her downfall will come. However should a C class student have great character, with virtues in her, she will definately make her mark in this world, be it to just 1 person or to the world.
Also, surpassing your personal best is also very important. When the results come and you know you have done your very best but the results is still not desirable, you will at least feel at ease that you have at least tried.

RESPECT
Respect: To respect self and others, and be repected by society
+ Self
- To treasure herself and demostrate this by taking pride in her work, dressing smartly, and taking care of her body
- To treasure herself and take proactive measures to care for her own well-being, health and appearance
+ Others
- To respect all in authority
- To work well as a team
- To respect others
Eg: Greeting teachers and showing courtesy to others and cary for school and public property
- To be a good role model and have a positive influence on others
- To respect and prreciate differences in others without compromising the school values
I feel that for this aspect, it all boils down to manners, basic manners. As you can see, isn't greeting teachers and showing courtesy all manners? However, it is these basic manners that we often forget. Eg: When we walk past a teacher, we do not even bother to greet him/her and just walk away. Some might also forget the 'magic words' when someone had helped them. Thankyou, please, sorry even have to be told to students now.
I think to respect yourself is the least you can do. If even you do not respect yourself, who else will. Also by protecting your body, you are protecting the temple of God also. 'Your body is them temple of the Lord." Thus, i think this is of utmost importance.

GODLINESS
Godliness: To live a life that is pleasing to God, virtious and upright
- To be pure in thought, speech, and action
Eg: to be positive and encouraging
- To show care and concern for others
- To stand up for what is right even when she needs to stand alone
- To influence others to do what is right
- To be actively involved in community service, helping the poor, the sick and the needy
I feel that every of us should strive to be the image of God, being virtuous in every aspect and having faith in Him. However, this can only be made possible if we follow these guildlines of this PL value: Godliness. All the points shows how we can draw closer to God and be a good role model to others. Also, obstacles will be met, especially when we need to stand up for the truth, alone. This will test our righteosness and also our faith in God. Many a times, we just follow the crowd and do things, even if it is wrong. Thus, I hope to be a good role model to try and influence people to do what is right and also being able to differentiate between the good and the bad.
